This is a co-write with Kate, Leslie and me. Kate brought a rough song to one of our songwriting sessions. Kate already had the progression and melody, but the song didn’t have a bridge yet and the lyrics were sparse. Leslie and I are firm believers that songs need to be finished, so we essentially ended up finishing this song that day, with a few minor edits done to it in the subsequent weeks. I mimic Kate’s original guitar strum on this. Probably 90% of the lyrics are Kate’s. I Love Love LOVE Kate’s harmonies with herself on this track. I thought about adding a harmony, but I knew I couldn’t do better than this!
