Our Story Untold (Reggae Version)

I drove to town and I parked my car
And I walked the streets while I looked for you
Don’t know just what to do.
I read your note that we’re through

I had a drink maybe 3 or 4 and I
Watched the rain as it’s falling down
Our house is empty and cold
I’m feeling lonely and old.

Chorus:
You made up your mind
To leave me behind
You’re gone down the road
Left our story untold.

I woke up feeling rough think I drank enough
To sleep without any dreams of you
Coffee cup warm in my hand.
I just don’t understand.
How to get over you.
What else can I do?

I’ll pick the pieces up
Hope I’ll find enough
To solve the puzzle to get me through
Yes, you’ve shattered my heart
It’s time to make a new start
Now that I know that we’re through.
It’s time to get over you……

In keeping with my Covid Fever Dream from 2021, I updated this country song from my first album, Cascade, to a reggae song. This is the third song from that album that I’ve re-recorded as a reggae tune. I’ve loved reggae since I first heard it in the mid-1970s. The band, as always, kills this song!
